Photographer
Eric Weeks received a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and an MFA
from Yale University. His photographs have been shown in numerous gallery
exhibitions and are included in the collections of: the Los Angeles
Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, Bibliotheque Nationale
(Paris), Maison Europeene de la Photographie (Paris), The American University
in Cairo, Sir Elton John, and the Progessive Corporation.
“Weeks’s
cinematic photographs stand out by suggesting a story that stretches
before and after each image was snapped.”
-- The New York Sun, July 2004
“His color
sense alone would make these major works; combined with an unerring
sense of composition, the result is a sequence worth studying closely
after first enjoying it’s sheer brilliance.”
-- The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Dec.2003
“The intense
quality of Weeks’s attention—anxious, avid, tender—and
the large scale of his color prints gives even the flimsiest of his
subjects weight, but leaves their mystery and peculiar gorgeousness
intact…[Weeks has] a very confident artist’s eye.”
-- The Village Voice, Feb. 2003
